But i really loved this book and can't wait for the movie. this book is about a bunch of boys who are stuck in a maze with monsters that come out at night, and how they are trying to find their way out and figure out who and where they are.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner Movie release 2/14/14
Thomas wakes up in an elevator, remembering nothing but his own name. He emerges into a world of about 60 teen boys who have learned to survive in a completely enclosed environment, subsisting on their own agriculture and supplies from below. A new boy arrives every 30 days. The original group has been in "the glade" for two years, trying to find a way to escape through a maze that surrounds their living space. They have begun to give up hope. Then a comatose girl arrives with a strange note, and their world begins to change. There are some great, fast-paced action scenes, particularly those involving the nightmarish Grievers who plague the boys. Thomas is a likable protagonist who uses the information available to him and his relationships (including his ties to the girl, Teresa) to lead the Gladers. Unfortunately, the question of whether the teens will escape the maze is answered 30 pages before the book ends, and the intervening chapter loses momentum. The epilogue, which would be deliciously creepy coming immediately after the plot resolves, fails to pack a punch as a result. That said, The Maze Runner has a great hook, and fans of dystopian literature, particularly older fans of Jeanne DuPrau's The City of Ember (Random, 2003), will likely enjoy this title and ask for the inevitable sequel.—Kristin Anderson, Columbus Metropolitan Library System, #themazerunner

When a local doctor and his young companion resolve to lift Rayburn out of his funk, they find their task made all the more urgent when a truly deadly monster decides to attack.
"Monster on the Hill," by Rob Harrell. This book makes Joyce laugh! In a fantastical 1860s England, every town is terrorized by a ferocious monster - much to their delight! Each town's monster is a source of pride- and tourism. Unfortunately, for the people of Stoker-on-Avon, their monster is a little down in the dumps. It's up to the eccentric Dr. Charles Wilkie and plucky street urchin Timothy to get the morose Rayburn up to snuff, before a greater threat turns the whole town to kindling!
Monster on the Hill. Sounds like a fun all-ages comic!

Divergent (Book 1) by Veronica Roth. Soooo good! Read if you like the Hunger Games. Is in the process of filming for a movie
14. A book worth reading: Divergent by Veronica Roth. The sequel, Insurgent is out this month. This is the best of contemporary YA dystopian literature ...you know, if you're into that kind of thing. *It's true I've absolutely both books.
Currently reading Divergent by Veronica Roth and as I was nearing the end I kinda had to stop reading and hide the book since I can't stop reading it and I still need to review for school. :(( So, pardon me for flooding Divergent pins. I really love this book. Must read for those who love The Hunger Games trilogy #Divergent #VeronicaRoth
Divergent by Veronica Roth. The first in a trilogy, set in a futuristic post-war world. If you liked The Hunger Games, read this next.
Divergent by Veronica Roth. Not bad and worth reading if you liked the Hunger Games or the Maze Runner series. Very quick read and great characters.
Divergent is the debut novel of American author Veronica Roth, and is the first installment in a trilogy. Set within a dystopian Chicago, the novel has been compared to similar young adult books like The Hunger Games
Divergent - Veronica Roth ... Where has this book been all my life? So creative!! Go read this before the movie comes out--it was fantastic. If you like the Hunger Games, you'll like this for sure. Great characters and really unique story-kids have to choose "factions" to be in for life and they each believe in one moral that they need to live by (honesty, bravery, kindness...) SO GOOD
Divergent by Veronica Roth. Must, MUST read this book! If you like the Hunger Games this would surely, 100% appeal to your senses.
Divergent, by Veronica Roth. If you need to get a dystopian fix, young adult series seem to be the thing now. This is the first of a trilogy, and certainly worth reading. If you liked The Hunger Games, you'll probably enjoy this series as well. About a 16 year old girl who lives in Chigaco - where the city is divided into 5 factions. When you are 16, you choose your faction, a choice that will define who and what you are for good. I really enjoyed this first book - interesting concept.

Best Fiction for Young Adults: "At age eight, David watched as his father was killed by an Epic, a human with superhuman powers, and now, ten years later, he joins the Reckoners--the only people who are trying to kill the Epics and end their tyranny."
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson (2013). I recommend Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson and it's definitely worth reading. It has non-humans called Epics who control the world pretty much. Steelheart is the name of an Epic who runs a town called Newcago. It's a teen book, but any adult would love to read it! Science fiction at its finest, it’s quite a reading catch! -Robin, August 2015
Steelheart - By: Brandon Sanderson - 1. The Epic/ Reckoner series. More a young adult book.... But relatively clean.
Steelheart (Reckoners #1) by Brandon Sanderson (Goodreads Author) Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills. Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend t
#8: Steelheart / Brandon Sanderson. Ten years ago, Calamity came; a light in the sky that appeared one day and many believe that somehow it was connected to the rise of the Epics. These beings, once human, now have all kinds of amazing and dangerous powers that have enabled them to take over the world, and one could argue the most dangerous one is Steelheart. No one has ever seen him bleed -- except for David, who will stop at nothing to get his vengeance and see Steelheart bleed again.
