I remember Dr. Oz eats almonds this way.
Soaked Almonds: Start with raw almonds- unroasted and unsalted. Place them in a glass vessel twice the size of the amount of almonds- they will expand as they soak. Add about 1/4 teaspoon af salt for each cup of almonds and cover with water. Leave to soak in the refrigerator for 48 hours. Drain off any remaining water. You can now eat the almonds as they are.
Soaking almonds in water reduces the amount of phytic acid in the nut making digestion much easier resulting in more nutrients your body is able to absorb.
Soaked Almonds. I have always done this, but assumed that it was what everyone did. Oh well live and learn. However I thought you should all know about this, now I know, that you might not know...also this is a good thing to do if making your own almond milk or using almonds in a smoothie. I drain mine and keep them in a jar in the fridge. I do them once a week.
