Leap Year Day dinner setting, with an obvious Southwestern/Aztec theme. A colorful blanket throw substitutes for a tablecloth. Plates are Pfaltzgraff Midnight Sun, paired with colorful plastic melamine salad plates found at Macy's about 5 years ago. Flatware was a leftover from an old neighbor, who moved away, and the landlord said take whatever...

Entree- Petite filet of beef, pan seared and covered with crimini and shiitake mushrooms sautéed in butter, shallots and sherry. Salmon and scallops with lemon. Roasted red pepper hearts baked with a potato and parsnip purée. Sautéed snow peas. February 2012.
