Our great uncle's hotel on Court Street in Middletown, CT. Uncle Charles reputedly ran a speakeasy in the basement during prohibition. The goods came up the Connecticut river, and the moonshine and whiskeys were brought inside for....enjoyment. This site currently houses the Italian Society, 74 Court Street Middletown, Prohibition, Speakeasy, Connecticut, Trains, Sustainability, Basement, Automobile
