Homemade "Miracle Grow": Get a clean glass or plastic jar, put a little water in it. Add egg shells and coffee grounds until it's about 3/4 full. Top it off w/water and allow to sit in a cool, dark place for about a week, gently shaking once daily. Strain and use the liquid when ready to feed plants.
Baking Soda Spray for Tomatoes. AND Tomatoes need calcium to achieve their full flavour potential, and calcium is often greatly lacking in our soils. 95% of a dry eggshell is calcium carbonate. When planting your tomato plants crush up (to powder) about 4 or 5 egg shells and put them in the bottom of the hole. Then plant your tomato on top. They'll provide calcium and prevent blossom end rot.

Add soil, water, & dish soap to a mason jar. (1 cup of soil, 1-2 cups of water & 1/2 tsp dish soap) Shake-mix well, let sit for at least 24 hrs.. The soil will settle into layers. 1st layer on the bottom is sand, 2nd layer silt, 3rd layer clay, & organic matter will float to top. Best to have 40% sand, 40% silt, 20% Clay with lots of floaties.
Fertilizing Plants With Coffee Grounds and Eggshells
Make natural aphid spray using equal amounts of dried banana peel, coffee grounds, and egg shells in a spray bottle. Fill the bottle the rest of the way with water and shake until the pieces dissolve. Spray on plants that are having aphid issues, it works great!
