03-Feb-2016: Dogtown Duck IPA by Venice Duck Brewery of Venice, CA. When there's a local option, have to go local. And since I made it to the airport earlier than I expected, and had time to kill without lounge access since it was a domestic flight, I popped in to Rock & Brews to try one of their local offerings. The server described this to me as a "malt-covered pinecone." Indeed, it's a very hoppy, green West Coast IPA. #ottbeerdiary

02-Feb-2016: Tasting flight with lunch at Beachwood BBQ and Brewery in Long Beach. Beachwood was just voted Best (Beer) Restaurant in California in this year's #ratebeerbest awards, so I had to pay a visit when I was around the corner for my Global Entry and APEC business traveler interview. Here I tried the LBC IPA. Excellent beers, and a very good pulled pork sandwich as well. #ottbeerdiary
