Medicinal properties of scallions. Among all of these, I heard recently to cut of the ends, and put them in your nose (with the bulb still attached) to get rid of a stuffy nose! The chemicals in the onion irritate your nose to purge your sinuses of all the icky stuff.

The tulsi or holy basil is an important symbol in the Hindu religious tradition and is worshipped in the morning and evening by Hindus at large. The holy basil is also a herbal remedy for a lot of common ailments. It's good for clearing out chest congestion, thus, making it easier to breathe.
