I wonder how long it took for this to grow.

Anyone who loves New Mexico knows that it's impossible to describe the sounds, sights and smells of a sudden thundershower on a late summer afternoon!

Oh my heart........4 year-old Paige Bennethum really, really didn’t want her daddy to go to Iraq. So much that when Army Reservist Staff Sgt. Brett Bennethum lined up in formation at his deployment this July, she couldn’t let go. No one had the heart to pull her away.

From the UK Mail: "Staff at the safari park were baffled by the mystery of the disappearing whirlpool bath. Every morning they filled the open-air bath outside one of the guest lodges, and every night it was empty - even though no leak could be found."

Among Moscow’s large population of homeless canines, a small minority who frequent or inhabit its metro have attracted international attention due to their having learned how to use the trains to commute to and from various locations. The dogs have learned to cross the street with pedestrians and have been observed obeying traffic lights.

A very compassionate man and a loving beautiful fox. Six years ago, Cropper was found in the street after a fight with dogs. Seriously injured and ill (toxoplasmosis), Cropper was nursed back to health by this man's patience, love and determination. Not strong enough to return to the wild, Cropper spends very happy days with his human friend. Thank you Sir! ♥

Brendan Hesmondhalgh : Brendan works primarily in ceramic and creates bold animal designs that are often mounted on ceramic plinths. He uses a hand building technique that deliberately cracks the surface of the clay. By pushing out a sheet from the inside , the surface breaks as it stretches. ( website - http://www.sculpturelounge.com/ )

Stones that have natural holes in them are traditionally said to be lucky. In past times it was thought that one of the most widespread magic devices to protect both man and beast was a pebble with a natural hole in it, also called ‘hagstone’, ‘witch-stone’, or (in the north-east) ‘adder-stones’. They were used to cast off the evil-eye. It's also said that looking through a holed stone is thought to give “second sight”. In Britain it is common for large holed stones, usually standing alone...
