One of those gross things you really NEED to know as a parent- How to Clean Up Vomit...1. clean up excess off the affected area. 2. make a paste of BAKING SODA and Water; 3. Take a spatula or spoon and generously spread it onto the affected area. It is almost like frosting a cake, except way less appetizing; 3. Let it dry overnight or until it becomes a powdery consistency again; 4. Vacuum it up!; 5. Repeat if necessary. I wish I'd learned this a long, long time ago!

Really?? I had no idea. This long-forgotten gem of a cleaning agent may be used with a little water or vinegar to lift even the most stubborn stains. Unattractive grout driving you batty? Mold and mildew stains got you reaching for the Prozac? Burner pans and casserole dishes giving you fits? Cream of Tartar is your new best friend.

How to clean your garbage disposal. Start by running hot water through your garbage disposal for a minute. Pour about 1/4 c. baking soda into the drain. Flip the garbage disposal on for 2 seconds, just to whirl the baking soda inside, and then leave it alone for 10-15 minutes. Follow with 1 c. of vinegar. Watch the bubbles erupt out of your drain. (Yay!) Rinse through one last time with very hot water and run your garbage disposal for 5 seconds.

Must remember this.... When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria on the surface. Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft....IT'S LIKE MAGI...
