The English Beat aka The Beat aka Special Beat @ The Universal Ampitheater
The English Beat- I Just Can't Stop It......this is the cover I have ( The American pressing )- the original English pressings were under the name "The Beat". One of my favorite covers of all time. The Ska revival gave us some fantastic album art.

Mod style, via Mod Fashion
Mod fashion: The way of dress and life of the young people in Britain in the 1960s. Some groups of people that defined this time were the beatniks and Teddy boys. Beatniks wore black turtlenecks, and the Teddy Boys became known for their look that resembled the "dandy" look of several decades before. Many female mods had boy-like short haircuts, wore men's clothes, and little makeup. Mary Quant became famous for mini skirts that consistently became shorter between the 1960s.
