Kids croched pot holders while sitting in the wagon or walking on the oregon trail.

These are buffalo chips. Kids used to collest them when they were bored. Buffalo chips were used to help start fires when they were low on wood. (Buffalo chips are dried buffalo manure)

Some people kept diaries on the trail and wrote their thoughts in them.

This is a picture of Fort Kearney. We just had a few people come back from here. They were helping Dutch.

This is Dutch Vermont. Right now he is very sick. In this picture, he doesn't look sick, but this picture was taken before he got sick. He is feeling a little bit better now and we are now able to travel on the Oregon Trail. He is still traveling in the wagon with the other supplies, but if he keeps getting better at this rate he will be walking very soon.

This is a Prarie Schooner and we used these on the Oregon trail and to get over the river we took the wheels off of these.

The Oregon Trail and Oregon was supposed to have really mild weather and rich soil. That was really useful because a lot of people farmed when they were moving west.

One of the reasons people moved west was because they thought they might have more freedom there.
