The Living Wall: Russian street artist Nikita Nomerz turns derelict buildings into faces - Telegraph
That's a building. And a face. "Nizhny Novgorod, Russia based graffiti artist Nomerz has a way with faces." | Beautiful/Decay
'Living Walls' is a street art project initiated by artist Nikita Nomerz , from the western Russian city of Nizhniy Novgorod. He transforms abandoned structures into massive portraits that are humorous and visually striking.
Russian street artist Nikita Nomerz creates some pretty cool effects using architectural elements on his face wall paintings.
Underground Dweller ~ Nikita Nomerz “I started in school with classic hip hop graffiti but became more interested in street art and began all sorts of experiments. Now basically I like to play with space and objects. I am inspired by the place itself. I love watching the city and finding an interesting point. Usually I do not spend so much time to create one work, sometimes less than an hour. But it all depends on the size of the object and my ideas.”

A street artist has brought life to derelict landscapes across Russia by creating quirky faces to run-down buildings. Nikita Nomerz transforms window frames into eyes and brickwork into teeth and smiles, creating elaborate graffiti with his signature grinning faces through his project, The Living Wall.
I’ve seen a few photos of works by street artist Nomerz floating around for the past year or so and realized it was time to do a proper feature on him here. With a double dose of wit and color Nomerz transforms derelict buildings, towers, and crumbling urban spaces into whimsical, quirky faces in locations around Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

Do you recognize this man? This is Hans Langseth, who grew the longest beard ever recorded at 18 feet 6 inches long. The photo was taken when he was 66 years old in 1912. Hans lived a pretty normal farming life for the time, outside of the fact he had a ginormous beard. He passed away in 1927.

The longest beard in history, 1867. The man died by breaking his neck after stepping on his own beard
Most Ironic Deaths In History - Hans Steininger is known in the history books as the man with the longest beard (4.5 feet). Artists have fondly sketched his glorious expression of facial hair and even immortalized his crowning achievement in stone. However, his hairy asset is what brought him to sudden death. As he was caught in a fire, he accidentally tripped over his long beard, broke his neck and died.
