I've had this shot in mind for some time, waiting for late in the season when the sun rises further north-east between Sorapiss and Antelao, directly above Cinque Torri. Putting the D810's impressive shadow detail to the test.
I've had this shot in the back of my mind for ages. Fortunately the stars aligned (quite literally) in the early hours of Sunday morning. Mars and Saturn can be seen just right of the milky way, low in the sky. A technically difficult shot with the light from Rifugio Locatelli playing havoc with the highlights. One of my favourite places in the world that is especially beautiful in the evening when the crowds have gone home. Taken with the Nikon D810 and 14-24.
Taken at Yanohara wetlands in Fukushima prefecture, Japan. Colors of late autumn are reflected on the surface of the water. However, I thought. "The surface of the water, memorizes the season that passes."
