Painting Pointer Before updating or touching up a chair or small, lightweight table, elevate it over the work surface by gently tapping a nail into the bottom of each leg. The legs will get better air circulation for drying and won't stick to the surface.
This being a gorgeous piece to begin with, I only wanted to change the color, and not get in the way of the beautiful grain and structure. So I treaded lightly with the paint, using Classico chalk from Pure & Original. A combination of light layers
Gloss-Off by Krud Kutter. I found it at Sherwin Williams and the best part is it smells like soap. No strong odor, the store said they use it in schools because it has no odor and is so safe. Not having to sand is especially wonderful when you're painting something with curvy legs or embellishments.
