Family yearbooks. Since most people don't print out pictures like they used to, this would be a great way to document your years in pictures
Year Book, Photobook, Family Yearbook, Photo Book
great tips for making family yearbooks through Blurb. I really like the idea of making photobooks with journal like entries instead of photo albums.
Family Tradition #3: Family yearbooks... So the family pics aren't just stuck on the computer. Love love love this.
Family Yearbooks: I am two years behind in my photobook. Granted! Everything is already organized in the photo book line.. do I want to do a 'book' or just slide every picture in.. later on.. do I really want 20 years of 'year books' and you can't take the pictures OUT to use for projects or copy.
Family yearbooks. Every year, compile all your photos from that year and put them in a year book! I love this!
Family Yearbooks: at the end of each year make a photo book of all your favorite pictures. That way they don't 'disappear' from your photo albums!
family yearbooks... So the family pics aren't just stuck on the computer. This is such a good idea. Better than a photo album because you can write stuff about that particular photo in a stylish way.
Family yearbooks, so the pics don't just stay on the computer. Well, here is a project definitely worth doing. Now that everything is digital, pictures never really get shared or visited more than once. I miss the old photo albums. Maybe this will do the trick. Also, great for theater productions from school, etc.
Family Yearbooks: Get the pics OFF the computer:) #photos #PhotoAlbums #YearBook #photos

How to make a GIANT picture that costs $13. Pin now, read later. I made the girls go outside before school so I could get a good snapshot of them in natural light - then I used photoshop to turn it black and white. Then stick that image on a jump drive data stick thingy. Now off to gather supplies - - first up, foam board for the picture. Where do you get one that big?? Home Depot/Lowes - yep, it's the big foam pieces used to insulate houses. And it's cheap - $11 for the whole board and you can get a couple of pictures out of it. Then head off to the office store and ask for "the biggest engineer's print you can make" and hand over your jump drive. It is 4 feet by 3 feet, which didn't seem that big til I hung it in their room and BAM, it's gigantic, but I'm okay with it. Anyways, it was about $8. They warned me that it wouldn't be photo-quality - -but hey, for $8, it was good enough for me! I snapped a quick picture of the picture so you can see the quality -- up close it's not dead-on crisp, but who's looking that close anyways. And it's not pixely at all...this is the bangs of the daughter on the right... Go home and place your photo on your foam board then cut off any extra... Now, here's where things went horribly wrong and I stopped taking pictures. Let me give you some advice: --you can't spraypaint stryofoam! -- I guess this is pretty common knowlegde, but no one told me. It eats away at the foam. So I had to use the other half of my board - good thing it was so big. Instead of spraypaint, just use craft paint to paint the edges black. (Or fun duct tape.) And FYI, there's a clear film, like seran wrap, over the foam - peel it off so the paint will work. --don't use mod podge for flimsy paper! --I had planned to use spray glue, but had lent it out and figured I'd just mod podge the board and set the picture on - bad idea. The mod podge was way to wet and cause the paper to wrinkle. Plus then when I tried to smooth it out it wrinkled more and more. Quite the disaster on their faces. So I had to throw that picture away. And trek back to make another copy (I'm sure they thought I was crazy) So, lesson learned, I used craft paint on the edges and spray glue (like Elmer's Spray Glue -in the craft section) to stick it down. I sprayed the whole board then had someone help me -one of us on each end of the big picture -slowly lower the picture onto the tacky board. Then press it into place. That's it! To hang it, we used duct tape to hold loops of wire and hooked those over nails -super high-tech, only not :) A view of the back for those who asked about it:

Use old towels to make a fluffy bathroom rug, plus other DIY rug ideas
Bath mat from old towels 1. First, wash and dry the towel or towels you’ll be using for your mat. 2. Decide how big you want your bath rug to be by measuring the dimensions on the floor, e.g.. in from of your shower recess, as shown here. 3. Purchase gridded matting and cut it to those dimensions. Can be bought at a craft shop or basic home ware store as this usually sits under floor rugs to avoid slipping. It is also called an ‘anti-slip mat’. 4. Cut the towels into 5-6” long pieces, approx. 3/4” thick. 5. Knot each strip along the grid, ensuring they all face the same way. Tip: for a thick, full mat, knot along every line. For a thinner mat, knot along every other line. It’s an easy to do project that require little concentration. . It may take you a while but it will be worth it once you’re finished with your eco-chic bathroom mat. Labeled bags, some shelving and a chalkboard can make your mudroom or entryway much more organized
Family Command Center Each child has a tote bag with their clothes for the day, lunch money and special notes from Mom. The chalk board reminds them of their daily responsibilities. Add iron hooks to the shelf. Print the names from my computer onto iron on transfer paper to make the personalized totes. The photos can be changed out with each season. Green hydrangeas in these cute urns for a little pop of color. The chalkboard was made out of MDF and chalk board paint.
Family Command Center -- I like the chalkboard chore chart. Maybe on mudroom door?
