Growing Rose From Cutting l Great way to Grow your own Heirloom Roses! Summer Gardening!
Growing Rose From Cutting My neighbour has a row of roses, which he took as cuttings. I asked how he took them. He simply plunges the cuttings into the ground. But his secret of success is the humble potato! Before planting cuttings, he pushes the bottom end into a small potato, which he believes keeps the cuttings moist as they develop roots. It sounds crazy, but his row of allotment roses is proof it works. Via: Taking rose cuttings (http://www.amateurgardening.com/home/taking-rose-cuttings/)

Physostegia - Pink Bouquet----My Mom grew this, common name is False Dragonhead. It very pretty but can become unruly. It spreads by underground runners so can spread out to areas you don't want it in. It's quite nice in pots, grows to about 18 to 24 inches tall so is good for the center attraction.
