Put soap in the microwave

A bar of Ivory soap .this is totally genius. And not just for kids! This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! It's not wet and messy, either! This is awesome!

We recently tried this Flubber recipe with the kids at the "Science in the Park" event put on by Rhythms of Grace Homeschool Group.  We had so much fun coloring it and getting our hands all squishy...

A great idea for kids art projects - or adults, for that matter. Never buy paint (for kids) again! Paint- 1 cup salt, 1 cup flour, 1 c water, food coloring.

I used to use the kind that don't close on top (like at a diner) for my liquid tempera paint but they would clog a bit... wonder if this would solve that problem?
