Great for all the pool towels this summer! Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelling funky. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and one cup vinegar, then a second time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!

Dissolve a cup of soda ash in a cup of hot water. (Soda ash can be found at swimming pool supply stores) Add yard of white junk material or ratty towel until it becomes saturated. Let it dry. Cut off a piece and add with your laundry. You can make a lifetime supply of these with just a few dollars worth of soda ash!
