Monday, June 25 10-11am An interactive sing-a-long concert featuring original songs inspired by true stories of great journeys in American history. Henry Hudson, Mae Jemison, Nellie Bly, Harriet Tubman, and John Muir are just a few of the fascinating real people who come to life in Lloyd’s songs. Come prepared to sing, dance, find out some amazing things you didn’t know and go home with a book so you can learn more! Geared especially for grades 2–6, but appropriate for all ages.
What a fun photographic exhibition and a fun partnership with Texas Dance Hall Preservation, Inc.! Come see it during library hours through July 18! Photo: Anhalt Dance Hall by Dave Norris Photography
For Teens and Tweens: Don't be afraid to get messy with our Wednesday Crafting Club that meets on the back lawn.
Second Tuesday of Every Month 7:30pm-9:00pm. Come experience a time of relaxation, clarity and peace with deeply meditative sounds of ancient musical instruments. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat, blanket or cushion for sitting or lying during the meditation. Steve Daniel, a local musician, plays exotic instruments including didgeridoo and singing bowls for meditations, public concerts, and individual sessions.
Another great program for teens and tweens at the library this summer! Be sure to register with Alex or Caren!
