Worked on 14ct plastic canvas in a cross stitch, using various shades of grey stranded cotton leftovers. The diamonds were worked first, then the contrasting lines filled in in a very dark charcoal grey stranded cotton. It is backed with thin craft foam using a double sided adhesive film.

One of my more complicated bookmarks on a 14ct plastic canvas. As a favour to someone I once sorted out a pile of completely muddled up stranded cotton threads, makes unknown as the labels had long gone. My reward was to be given those threads - it seemed I had earned them. Using rainbow colours I saw this design clearly in my head, but as each square had to be slightly askew compared to the square next to it I did have to draw this design out.
