Anne Bonny (Clara Paget) The real Anne Bonny was an Irish woman who became a famous pirate, operating in the Caribbean. Anne became friends with many pirates and she felt betrayed when she found out that her husband, James Bonny, started working as an informant to the Governor Woodes Rogers in the summer of 1718.
This is a handmade christening gown from the 1950's. The whole shadowbox included the handmade booties and hat, as well as the little gold rings that the hospital gave out with each birth. My customer had me make a brass plate commemorating the woman who made the gown and all of the babies who were christened in it. What a lovely keepsake!
