An old bed sheet on the table with washable markers=Genius!! Great for group activity and you can wash/rewash one thousand times. Better for the environment( no paper wasted) And if the children are really attached to keeping that art work, take a photo for goodness sakes..... Or hit up your local thrift shop to buy a new sheet. We used a flat sheet because that is what I had on hand, but how great would a fitted sheet be to wrap around your table top??!!! Just make sure to have something underneath as the markers do bleed through. Yikes!! Good thing its the kids art table....( and again, the markers are in fact washable).
Oh how I love bed sheets. I've used them as light filtering shades in the windows on super hot days. I made curtains for my son's room. I've even recovered an old chair with upcycled bed sheets. This got me thinking about all the ways you could repurpose or upcycle an old bed sheet.
