My FAVORITE John Green...
Colin O'Donoghue, Worth Reading, High School, Books Worth, Named Katherine, John Green, Abundance
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. Having been recently dumped for the nineteenth time by a girl named Katherine, recent high school graduate and former child prodigy Colin sets off on a road trip with his best friend to try to find some new direction in life while also trying to create a mathematical formula to explain his relationships.
an abundance of Katherines by John Green | I was a quarter way in when school ended and so did its library... :(
From the wonderful John Green: AN ABUNDANCE OF KATHERINES. Michael L. Printz Award. Starred Reviews from Kirkus and HornBook
An abundance of Katherines: Colin Singleton just got dumped by a girl named Katherine. It's happened before. 19 Katherines, 19 break ups. A recent high school graduate, anagram expert, and self-proclaimed child prodigy wash-up, Colin has nothing to do but bemoan his lost love. Hassan, Colin's best friend, hauls him out of his funk and out of the house with the promise of a road trip
Colin is a washed-up child prodigy trying to work out a theorem to explain why he's been dumped 19 times, all by girls named Katherine. There's a mini road trip and wild pig hunt in the mix too. And a whirling cloud of beautiful tampon strings...More thoughtful, funny, feel-good teen magic from John Green. Honestly, I only picked it up because I noticed it had footnotes (the history nerd in me adores them). Read 6/15
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green: When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.
I really enjoy John Green.. "When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy–loving best friend riding shotgun—but no Katherines... "
An abundance of Katherines by John Green. When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type happens to be girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, Colin is on a mission to prove he can predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. This is an ingeniously layered comic novel about discovering oneself.
An Abundance of Katherines is about many things: Heartbreak. Friends. Family. Math. Most importantly, it is about a young man who takes a road trip to find himself. Colin has dated 19 girls named Katherine - never Kathy, never Catherine, always Katherine - and been dumped by every single one. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.

Narradores de Sueños: Will Grayson, Will Grayson de John Green y David Levithan (Nube de Tinta)
John Green and David Levithan don’t define will grayson (who only writes in lowercase) by just his depression. The authors are able to take a character with a mental illness and show how he may realistically cope with it day by day. They show will grayson as a stronger person because of how he thinks about and works through his own depression. Will Grayson, Will Grayson also offers a critique of how society’s offhand use of “depressed” or “mental health” are not helpful for people who are diagnosed with mental illness.

Looking For Alaska by John Green- A good novel that points out that we're not the only person with issues in our lives. For some reason, this high school level book is on my reading list for my college intro to literature class. hmm.
Looking for Alaska, http://www.amazon.com/dp/0142402516/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_awd_ea2psb0P97ZHP Read this. The book was slow. In fact, I put it down and went back to it a few weeks later. Not one of my favorite books by John Green.
LOOKING FOR ALASKA is by far one of my favorite books of all time - not for its plot so much as what it teaches me between the lines. John Green is a poet.
Looking for Alaska by John Green. Read it over 5 years ago and it is still my favorite book. honestly changed my life!
Looking for Alaska by John Green. Set at the fictional Culver Creek Boarding School near Birmingham, Alabama

Just purchased this on audible- next on the list. Paper Towns by John Green: Green is arguably the king of turning a story about teens into something so much bigger than what you’d expect. With Paper Towns he follows the life of soon-to-be high school grad Quentin Jacobsen as he hurries to find out what happened to his childhood crush. It’s funny and terrifying all at once, and will make you want to go on a summer scavenger hunt of your own. Started on 9/3/2014.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This is only a Book Worth Reading if you are interested in a well-written story for teenagers. Snappy dialogue, appealing characters, young love, heartbreak, drama, etc. . . . I can see myself loving this book fifty years ago, but I've grown up, and I'm more critical of contrived smaltzy stories with unlikely plot lines.

My favorite John Green novel, An Abundance of Katherines, has just the right balance of laugh-out-loud and subtly intellectual humour, as well as the kind of quirkiness that draws one into it's story. As the novel progresses, one learns to love the strange characters as well as root for them in their quest for finding themselves.

“You don't remember what happened. What you remember becomes what happened.” ― John Green, An Abundance of Katherines
I didn't like this book as much as the other John Green books but its alright and interesting i could relate to the main character and best friend and the girl named Lindsey. And weirdly i once wished my name was Katherine... anyways I didn't enjoy this book as much because it had math in it! and the idea of a guy having being dumped by 19 katherine is sorta weird... and crazy. The beginning was boring and then i liked the end. And throughout the stories there are footnotes which is different.
