Quo Vadis by Henryk Sienkiewicz. This is, hands down, the greatest book I've ever read.

Quo Vadis is not as "meaty" as you think. This book takes place just as Rome is eating up the new believers - Christians. It's a great book and Christians should read it certainly.

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it.” ― J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

Farenheit 451. This book made a big impression on me in high school. I would like to actually own my own copy.
