    Interesting. Need to try this...Clean Hardwood Floors -- Use boiling water and two teabags to clean hardwood floors. The tannic acid in tea creates a beautiful shine for hardwood floors. Let two teabags steep in the boiling water for a few minutes. Pour the tea into a bucket. Take a soft cloth and wring it out in the tea. The cloth merely needs to be damp, not soaked. This will enable the floor to dry quickly. Wash the floor and be ready to be amazed by the sheen... and no sticky or oily residue

    Homemade grout cleaner: 7 cups water, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup vinegar.

    My bathtub has never been whiter!! Works great on glass shower doors too- no more soap residue! Martha Stewart's Tub Scrub--works better than any other cleaning product to get off hard water and soap residue

    (great to remember for move-out or in) Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.... good to do every 6 mths

    Homemade dishwasher detergent. Note from Pinner - this really does get the white film off water glasses. I don't know that I'll ever go back to purchasing expensive dishwashing detergent again.

    Baking Soda + Lemon Juice into a paste; spread around base/floor let dry 15 minutes. Spray with White Vinegar; let fizzle, wipe up.

    To get rid of the nasty black gunk in your drain: 1. Boil a pot of water. 2. Meanwhile pour baking soda down the drain. 3. Once the water has reached a rolling boil pour it down the drain. 4. Let the water and baking soda work at decomposing and sterilizing the grime for 10 minutes. 5. After 10 minutes, pour 1 cup of bleach down the drain to completely kill any remaining mildew or bacteria. this process every few months. It will also keep the nasty mildew smell at bay.
