ribeye I still loved my charcoal grilled ribeyes but HOLY GUACAMOLE was this good. Does exactly what it says. Only thing I would lightly brush the steak with olive oil instead of putting it in the pan. I burned myself with oil splatters. Country Fried Steak: Cooked 5-1-13. I didn't have onion powder so I used Penzey's Spices-Mural of Flavor. The steaks had great flavor. I didn't get a chance to make the gravy, but my family prefers ketchup (except me). This will definitely be made again in our household.
Saute onions in 4 tablespoons butter over high heat. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until dark and caramelized. Reduce heat to simmer and pour in cream. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until reduced by half. Stir in blue cheese until melted. Serve steaks on generous portion of sauce.
