If your children love pancakes (of course they do!), they're likely to get even more excited about the baked kind that puffs up in the oven. Make a holiday breakfast for the family, starring mini German apple pancakes. When the pancakes are done, have kids pick a topping. Their likely choice? Fluffy fresh whipped cream.

German apple pancake. Cook some apples in a cast iron skillet, pour batter over them, and put the whole thing in a preheated oven. Remove, flip the pancake onto a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and voila
Fruit filled German pancakes made in muffin tins - these are really fun, but you have to make a lot *update* I made 2 1/2 batches and it fed 6 adults and 4 kids with probably a dozen leftover. Each batch does approx. 18 in a regular sized muffin tin. The triple berry sauce was delicious and it saves in the fridge for at least a month! Great as a spread on rolls as well @Influenster @dinolingo
