Treadwell Mansion and Carriage House / AKA Macky Hall and Carriage House / 5212 Broadway on the Campus of California College of the Arts / Oakland, CA, US / Built c1875 / Architect Clinton Day combined elements of Gothic Revival style and Stick/Eastlake style in his design for the Treadwell Mansion.
I adore the shape of this house with its multiple bay windows and 2 turrets. It's no doubt broken into apartments; don't know if it started that way. The green is really in-your-face, and I do NOT like the green roof - compare it to next door's gray roof. And I'm such a purist, I really don't like the satellite dish on the 2nd floor. But again, the shape of this is wonderful, right up to the tiny window on the top.
