This is a great example of how relationships fit into technology. you can tell your significant other that you love them but it won't really matter until a social media site can validate that you love this person. once everyone can see that you post about loving someone its proves the love you have and won't care what people think. just by posting its like your showing your love off and making others feel like they have to do the same to prove their love. I can see how it's funny, but there's nothing wrong with posting how much you love your significant other. My husband and I do it all the time. Not sure why people consider it pathetic unless they're ashamed of their relationships or just jealous they don't have one.
