How to make colored Deviled eggs...cute you could do this for Christmas Mardi Gras Baby Reveal parties...any occassion!

Pretty deviled eggs! Try sprinkling with SMOKED paprika for a yummy flavor twist.

I have not tried this yet, so I can't really say if the eggs taste different or not from the dye. Smoked paprika will give them a smoky taste, like ham or bacon.

On the original blog, a reader asked if the whites taste like vinegar. The response was no, but you don't want to leave them in the dye too long, or they won't be a pretty pastel.

Another point was to be sure the food coloring you use is edible, that some of the specialty dyes are not. Very little vinegar is used and that would be the only flavor you might get.

You can also use the juice from a can of pickled beets for just pink ones.
