These are dried out water-based markers. I'm actually turning them into liquid watercolor that paints beautifully. I just fill a clean baby food jar with water, tie about six dry markers with a rubber band, and set them in the top of the jar. I let them sit over night and watercolor is made! Great way to save money on your kids' crafts!
Turn your old, dried-up markers into water paint. All you need is rubber bands, baby food jars (or something similar), and your dry markers. Fill the jars with water. Band together the markers. Put the tips into the water. Let sit for 8+ hours.
Liquid watercolor 'paint' from dried markers -- 1. Rubber-band 5 or 6 dried out water-based markers of a similar color together (Crayola and liqui-mark brands). Save tops for another project. 2. Poured water into glass baby food jars below the screw top area. 3. Put the color tips of the markers into the water. (8 hours to overnight) 4. Toss markers and replace jar caps.
