    We created our firepit almost the same way and it looks fabulous. We spend many nights gazing at the stars while sitting by the pit and enjoying smores.

Adding a fire pit is one way to create an outdoor kitchen. A bar extends the usefulness of the space for outdoor dining.

Virginia style fire pit. Lovely. I love the large front stone with the little vignette of stones and grass in front. The grasses behind are gorgeous too.

Building a house like this would be fun.
