Me on the Map - A Social Studies & Language Arts Project I based this project on Joan Sweeney's book, Me on the Map.
We did this (autism 4-6 classroom) - we painted everything white and then masked the continent areas to paint the blue. Pulled the paper off, then labeled everything. Tip: get taller rather than fatter pumpkins. We ended up with HUGE oceans. NOTE: We also did followup activities with the seeds and cooking the pumpkin.
