    This would be great for social studies. Wonderful idea for teaching city, state, country and how they relate! I could see this as a great 3rd grade project or even 2nd grade. I would not do this for High School but still very neat

Social Studies and Writing Idea -- do with constitution

We did this (autism 4-6 classroom) - we painted everything white and then masked the continent areas to paint the blue. Pulled the paper off, then labeled everything. Tip: get taller rather than fatter pumpkins. We ended up with HUGE oceans. NOTE: We also did followup activities with the seeds and cooking the pumpkin.
