Scarborough Castle is a former medieval Royal fortress situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the North Sea and Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. Henry II was responsible for much of the original stone buildings of the castle; he began the work in the 1150s, and it cost him £682. Henry generation 28 on family tree.
