I read the books.. And I do think it is a bad influence on girls.. Not because of the things said above.. But their relationship is unhealthy as fuck..!! Talking about overly attached.. Well those 2 (both of them!!) are masters in that.. And I think that that is a bad example of how a healthy relationship should be..!

Angel admits to watching Buffy sleep at some stage early in the series too.

It's a vampire romance movie, she was his mate of course she was overly attached. She was meant to be his mate. And if any girl out there is trying to live Bella's life than she was already messed up before watching Twilight, especially since Bella was in love with a vampire. I'm sorry Twilight is about love, honor, loyalty, and friendship. So as for it being a bad influence on girls, I don't think so. Hell he wouldn't even sleep with her until they were married. And that says it all.

We obviously share different opinions about what defines a healthy relationship :)..

Yes I guess we do. I define a relationship in the real life. I do not let a book/movie define my relationship. Especially when it's about a vampire. The only part of the book you seem to be fixated on is the overly-attached part. You're forgetting about him taking care of her, of him trying to protect her, of his loyalty, his honor, his respect of her and her father. So that's the part I would take away from this story. But I guess that's just me.
