The picture tells the story of a paleontologist in a number of predicaments involving a woman with a unique sense of logic and a leopard named Baby.

District 9 (2009) Directed by Neill Blomkamp. With Sharlto Copley, David James, Jason Cope, Nathalie Boltt. An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology.
District 9 is a 2009 South African science fiction thriller film directed by Neill Blomkamp. The story pivots on the themes of humanity, xenophobia and social segregation. The title and premise of District 9 were inspired by events that took place in District Six, Cape Town during the apartheid era. Aliens!!
Featured Film for June 21st at 6pm. District 9 (2009) Rated R, 112 minutes. This thought-provoking and exciting film depicts what happens after alien refugees become second-class citizens of earth as they are forced to live in militarized ghetto squalor. An interesting blend of alien invasion and apartheid – with plenty of gore.

District 9 - 2009 - What a cool idea for a movie. It is filmed like a documentary about the first contact in South Africa of aliens. They were housed in a slum known as District 9 but are now being asked to relocate to District 10. When the head of the relocation (Wikus) is injured by one of the aliens, he begins a transition, one that makes him question everything. The end scene with the metal flower...sigh...worth a watch if you like Sci-Fi/action with a story...
