This is great--and so true. I actually love my stretch marks from Little. "A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked your thumb, waved hello, closed your eyes and slept in the most perfect darkness. One for every time you had the hiccups. One for every dream you dreamed within me. It isn't very pretty anymore. Some may even think it ugly. That's OK. It was your home. It's where I first grew to love you, where I lay my hand as I dreamed about who you were and who you would be. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in it."

Any time I start to complain about all my new stretch marks I'm going to remember this : "A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn.

I have no baby stretch marks from my boys, but still this makes me teary. A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in it." *tear*

Pardon me while I try and make being fat because of babies a good thing. I lucked out and didn't get stretchmarks, just extra lbs, so mine is modified: "A pound for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked your thumb, waved hello, closed your eyes and slept in the most perfect darkness. A pound for every time you had the hiccups. One for every dream you dreamed within me. It isn't very pretty anymore. Some may even think it ugly. That's OK. It was your home. It's where I first grew to love you, where I lay my hand as I dreamed about who you were and who you would be. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in my weight."

i love this saying. i typed it up and the top part is in fancy writing and the bottom part is in kid font. The background is sophisticated paper and fun paper to match the parts of the saying. It is true and cute!

I felt you. You were a pea. Then a lemon. Then an eggplant. I followed advice. I read twelve books. I quit coffee. Could you tell I was scared? I talked to you, sang to you... I wasn't ready. But then you were here. Ten toes. Eight pounds. Love. Big fat love. I held you. I fed you. I realized that I would spend my life doing things to make you happy -- and that that would make me happy. And then there are the times I want to give up. You've made me rethink my sanity....

In my youth, summer was my favorite season. Oddly enough, since the shattered snow globe of baby death changed the very core of my being, I now find winter to be my most favorite season. And summer? well, I could live without summer for the rest of my life and be all the happier in its absence.
