Easiest bread ever. No kneading. Combine 3 c. self-rising flour and 3 tablespoons sugar. Add 1 12-oz. bottle of beer and combine (dough will be sticky). The yeast in the beer makes this a no-rise dough. Put in greased loaf pan, bake at 350 for 45 minutes, baste top with butter, bake additional 5 minutes until golden brown. That's it. Makes a biscuit-like hearty bread. We don't drink beer, so I buy 1 24-oz. single bottle and make 2 loaves.
