I have Book Pain Syndrome sometimes... other times, I have Acute Book Depression. (Main reason I'm only reading about half a chapter of Blue Lily, Lily Blue per... hour? Yeah, I know, I know, slower than a herd of turtles in peanut butter, but I'm worried about waiting a whole year for the next book!)
I read Shakespeare for a book report last year. We could choose our own books, as long as they were our level. Some people read Hunger Games, Harry Potter or the Maze Runner and stuff. Nope. The Taming of the Shrew for me. Nobody knew what that was, and I'm sure everybody was silently judging me. (It was really really good though!!!!) ~SS
Hahahaaa. I LOVE this story, and my 19 year old daughter does, too. One of my last real "discussions" in the classroom involved a statement I made about having to "get out the sewing machine last night"..... A student (several) thought I was just being stupid (Science-fictiony) w/them... Had NEVER seen or heard of a sewing machine..... and we're in GEORGIA.....
