An Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace, Tamar Adler. Spent half the time loving it and half the time wishing Adler would get off her high horse. Now I neeeed to read MFK Fisher. Worth Reading, Alice Water, Books Jackets, Food, Books Worth, Dust Covers, Everlasting Meals, 14 Books, Tamar Adler
An Everlasting Meal by Tamar Adler...based on How to Cook a Wolf. I am in the process of reading it. While I find myself annoyed when MF is too closely mimicked ( yet her writing style lends itself to mimicry as it is soothing on the nerves) when Tamar writes as Tamar she can knock 'em dead.
An Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace by Tamar Adler: 'A meal is cooked by the mind, heart and hands of the cook, not by her pots and pans.' A beautifully written narrative about cooking as a natural and joyful way of living which does not require fancy techniques, equipment or ingredients.
