Scrappy Granny Blanket Yarn: All the socks yarn scraps from my stash + some single skeins + 4 skeins of Sandnes Garn Sisu for the white edges, total weight ~ 1 kg Hook: 3 mm The stash eating blanket is donedonedone! In the end I think it turned out rather nice, although I have to admit that I did have some moments of doubt when I thought that this was going to be the ugliest blanket ever.

Crochet borders, my 95 yr old grandmother used to crochet whole blankets now her arthritic hand can only do a border on a purchased blanket. It's about the personal touch.

I don't think I will ever NOT love an old-school granny. Or a new-school granny. Or any granny square at all, ever. (Except in clothes. Never speak to me of granny square clothes.) What I like here are the alternating colors and styles of squares. Fresh & fun.
