American Graffiti - one of my all-time favorite movies. This movie started the whole 1950's nostalgia craze in the 1970's.

Another movie about sad, empty lives and out of touch people, but it works and I enjoyed it.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett. This book is similar to To Kill a Mockingbird in its theme, but vastly different in plot. I loved the spunk of the characters and the way the story was told.
