Wedding dress, (circa 1837-8). LA County Museum of Art. Wool brocaded with silk, Broad, 'portrait' neckline. The upper arm of the sleeve is ruched, opening to full puffs on the forearm. The ruching is repeated at the wrist above the cuff.

1850-55 American, green & black silk brocade, 2-psc evening dress with black lace trim. Note the sleeves are smaller than later in the 1860's.
