for unto you is born this day a Savior which is Christ the LORD - love this Christmas mantle

  • Megan Humphreys (Wheatley)

DIY Christmas decoration. "For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Wood sign made out of 1x6 pine boards. Stained with a color called "sunbleached" and wrote Luke 2:11 with a white Sharpie paint pen. "I use cheap foam brushes to apply stain then I gently wipe it with an old clean rag. A couple coats does the trick. Let it dry over night and it will be ready for you to paint on in the morning."

A blown-glass pinecone decoration with a rust-colored, wired woodgrain print ribbon and rustic bells and feathers. Very nice.

Wow-- the bright red is so striking against the winter white, and the hint of green makes the whole thing look so warm. Beautiful color scheme!

Christmas...this is lovely, no directions, no tutorial, but you can visually deconstruct it and figure it out. So pretty, would be great on a sofa table/console table.
