Mud room & Laundry Room - closed storage (some behind the open coat hooks!) bench for putting on shoes or setting down a bag. I'd raise the left side bench to counter height -- mail sorting on top, bins for recycling below.

Dream Laundry Room - corners with bench

I would do laundry every day in this laundryroom!

Mudroom / Laundry Room

Love this mud room!

Install a shower basin and floor drain in your mudroom to collect wet footwear. Add a wall faucet and flexible hose attachment for rinsing off mud and debris. (It's also handy for a quick pet bath.) And don't forget to include a fold-down bench for putting on shoes or stacking a few cleanup towels.

cubbies- have with out-of-season flip through a hinged closet system. The board with hooks can be slipped off of notch to enter. Inside would be a few hinged coat hangers (for bulky winter and rain coats & pants), a clothing ladder (for draping the less bulky outdoor clothing), and a peg-hole rack (for things like hats, scarves etc.).

Mudroom/ laundry combo ... nice open space!

Looks almost too nice to be the "mud- room-entry" to a laundry room, and I'm not sure how practical it would be, but I do love the storage-behind-doors (louvered for ventilation), and the natural wood floor. Even the skylight is gorgeous. I would make it a bit wider, put a cushion on the bench, and provide under-bench shoe storage.

I like the idea of having concealed. With that much storage all the family coats could fit in there, then the coat closet could be used for other storage needs!
