Grain Silo House--would be incredibly expensive to frame inside and trim, but an interesting/innovative concept nontheless.

Grain Silo House. The best thing I have seen in a long time. Looks like it belongs in a story book!

Moomin World is on the island of Kailo beside the old town of Naantali, near the city of Turku in Finland Proper region

Grain silos dot the countryside, a symbol of simple rural living with their simple shapes and metal-clad exteriors. But they aren’t just for storing grain – they can be marvelous homes and hotels as well. The Silo at the Gruene Homestead Inn has been transformed into a 1 bedroom loft apartment, while the Abbey Road Farm Bed & Breakfast has three grain silos incorporated into one large structure.

Blue silo house. I don't know why a repurposed silo house is reminding me of Victoriana so much...the trim, maybe? Idk, but this feels strangely princessy to me, and because I live in Iowa, it seems like it would be relatively cheap to build, too.

Screw renting! Buy a tiny piece of land in the city and build one. So cheap they cost $30 per square foot — sometimes even less plus the cost of the foundation. You should read more on these types of homes they are very cost effective and eco friendly and last. Read more on this website-http://chillyjr.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/how-to-build-a-grain-bin-house/
