'The Tailor of Gloucester', 1903 -- Beatrix Potter. The story is about a tailor whose work on a waistcoat is finished by the grateful mice he rescues from his cat. It was based on a real world incident involving a tailor and his assistants. For years, Potter declared that of all her books, it was her personal favourite.
Glad to see tutorials for these tedious yet beautiful sewing techniques. Now if someone could just post a tutorial on pressing as you sew- we could slowly get rid of all those wrinkled sewing projects all over the internet :)
Technique Thursday — tssk and tk2tog twisted decreases. Very useful when working twisted stitch cable patterns. The goal is to work a decrease that leans in the regular direction with only the top stitch twisted.
