Mrs. Ricca's Kindergarten: Classroom Management - love these visual directions

  • Charlene Johnson

Visual Directions {Freebie} I really love the idea of using visual instructions for students. This way if they missed a step or didn't understand what I said they could have a visual of the process for the activity we're doing. This would be a great way to help students who are visual learners as well as ELL students. APA Citation: Ricca. (2012, January 26). Mrs. Ricca's Kindergarten: Visual Directions {Freebie}. This "I'm done..." board is a great way to remind students of their choices once they have completed the current activity. By having this posted as a bulletin board or poster within the room, students would have a visual reminder of the acceptable options they have while awaiting transition to the next activity. This procedure would help maintain order as well as keep faster students busy.

Visual cues for following directions. This would be cool for a SMART board/ActivBoard (Under resources in ActivInspire, there is a set of "tools") and make a materials list of stuff the kids will need each day!
