oh my...that poor little guy's hat. :) My dad used to say he played with a hoop and a stick to roll it with in the late 1920's, this must be what the little boy is holding.

This is the Elephant and Castle Tube station in London during the height of the Blitz. I've been in this Tube station--it was full of tourists and home-going office workers. It's almost impossible to imagine it like this.
