    Leaf Print Eggs- Lay small flat leaves against hard boiled egg. Cover with 3" section of nylon stocking to hold in place. Twist stocking ends together & secure with rubber band. Place in mug of prepared egg dye for 4 mins (see site for DIY dye). Remove rubber band, stocking, & leaf & air dry egg.

Croatian (Slavonian) Easter eggs - this is how we always colored our eggs - interesting leaves in the stocking and then cooked in onion peels, dandelion flowers or beet skins. Afterwards we would make them shiny by rubbing them in bacon.
